Shalini Impex Vacuum Cane Mud Filter
are the most advanced filtration for the sugar
industry, and are available in a wide range of
drum constructions and materials.
Depending on the materials of construction of
the drum, each filter is fitted with
Polypropylene or Stainless steel ribbed brass
decking and stainless steel screens. The
entire drum is divided into a number of
sections, separated by divisional strips and
caulking strips, to maintain a complete vacuum
seal.
Each section of the drum is provided with
vacuum through a specially designed automatic
rotary valve - A unique feature of Shalini
Impex filters. This valve can e adjusted
to create a higher vacuum in the washing zone,
resulting in a drier cake discharge.
The filter drum rotates in the slurry bath of
the filter tank, and the filtrate is withdrawn
through the screen to form a continuous cake
on the screen surface. This ensures uniform
thickness of the cake.
The filter cake on the screen is washed with
hot water by drip pipes, to maximize sugar
removal. The cake is then discharged by a
floating scraper.
The filter is equipped with a variable speed
drive for flexibility in operation. It can
thus handle slurries of varying and
fluctuating characteristics. |
